Michał Karasiński
Attorney, Managing Partner

His professional practice focuses on servicing civil and business processes. He specializes in civil law claims for damages and compensation, in particular for medical malpractice, motor damage, construction disasters, and personal rights violations. He represents both the aggrieved parties and entities from whom compensation or redress is sought. He has extensive experience in the field of insurance law, which allows effective and efficient obtaining of relevant claims from insurance companies.

He also conducts restructuring and bankruptcy processes of large enterprises throughout the country. He supports healthcare entities and public finance sector entities. He deals with public procurement law, preparing or reviewing draft specifications of essential Terms of Reference for public procurement (SIWZ), as well as supervising the course of public procurement procedures. He represents both ordering parties and bidders before the National Chamber of Appeals at the President of Public Procurement.

He is the author of effective cassation complaints in civil proceedings, as well as judicial and administrative proceedings. He has experience in appearing before the Supreme Court and the Supreme Administrative Court. He represents Clients in criminal proceedings as a defender or proxy of victims, in particular in connection with the so-called economic crimes. Due to the experience gained in servicing leading media houses, he also advises Clients in the field of broadly defined media law.

He combines the passion of practicing the profession of an attorney with experience and effectiveness in action. He can extract the best solutions from the most difficult case, often breaking the usual patterns. He works unconventionally but not nonchalantly. Customer’s interest is always his highest value.

Mateusz Tomicki

He specializes in civil, commercial, real estate and construction law. He provides consultancy for entrepreneurs at all stages of the investment process, in the scope of real estate sale transactions (including office buildings and shopping centers), preparation and negotiation of lease agreements, conducting due diligence and legal opinions. He also advises entrepreneurs from various sectors of the economy. He represents Clients in the processes of corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, including international ones. He has worked for leading developers, banks, investment funds and insurers. His professional interests also include labor law. As part of the advocate’s application, his patron was Advocate  Stanisław Piwnik, PhD, a recognized expert in this field of law.

He also has many years of experience in representing Clients in proceedings before civil and administrative courts, thanks to which he runs every entrusted case in a comprehensive manner. He assumes that the basis for success in working for a Client running a business is not only the knowledge of regulations, timeliness and responsiveness, but also the knowledge of the latter’s industry and the economic realities in which they operate. Tomasz Tomicki willingly shares his experience – he has conducted training in real estate law for employees of banks and energy companies, and he is currently a lecturer in the field of administrative law and proceedings, commercial law for trainee advocates of the Bar Association in Warsaw.

Before joining KTP, he had cooperated with renowned Polish and foreign law firms.

Author of legal monographs and articles and commentaries in the trade press, including the title restored by C.H. Beck publishing house entitled: Agreements and letters regarding substantive labor law with explanations and CD.

Sylwia Białek-Karasińska
Attorney, Partner

She specializes in real estate law, both in civil and administrative terms, advising Clients at every stage of the investment process. She deals in the trade and regulation of the legal status of real estate, securing claims and other issues related to the broadly understood construction law.

She has experience in conducting negotiations and representing clients in matters concerning the largest construction projects and key infrastructure investments, including railway investments. She represents Clients in court disputes, in particular regarding business relations between entrepreneurs, as well as matters related to establishing and changing the legal status of real estate. She advises housing communities in their current operations, and also represents them in disputes regarding common property defects. In addition, she represents Clients in the planning procedure, both at the stage of creating local spatial development plans and preparing remarks on these plans or complaints on their behalf.

She takes the position that practical skills must have solid theoretical foundations, which is why she is constantly improving her qualifications. In 2017, she completed post-graduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics in Legal and Economic Basis of the investment process. Currently, she is preparing a doctoral dissertation in the field of administrative law. Author of legal texts of a commentary nature in the section Administrative law, administrative proceedings and as well as judicial and administrative proceedings of the online newsletter published by C.H. Beck.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the Catholic University of Lublin. Since 2010, a member of the Bar Association in Warsaw. She joined KTP in September 2017 as a partner responsible for business development and strengthening the practice of real estate and construction investments.

Previously, she had worked in renowned Polish law firms as a lawyer, advocate trainee and, then, advocate. Valued by customers, energetic, thorough and very well organized. She adheres to the principle that honesty and professionalism are the fundamental principles of good practice as a lawyer and, in every case, there is at least one good solution to which she steadfastly strives.
